Open Meeting “Extremadura Slow Ecosystem; Alliances for the configuration of a Slow Food ecosystem in Extremadura region (Spain)”. Trujillo , June 8, 017.
This meeting is a civic initiative organized by Slow Food Extremadura, that seeks to create alliances between civil society, organized or not, Public Administrations and the business sector or private sector, to set up a work open space around sustainable food and agriculture in our region , under the philosophy of Slow Food: GOOD: quality, flavorsome and healthy food; CLEAN: production that does not harm the environment; and FAIR: accessible prices for consumers and fair conditions and pay for producers.
Among more than 40 people registered are small producers, SMEs, cooperatives, social movements and individual people interested in being part of the “Ecosystem”. Through the working groups and plenary sessions, the proposed strategy, the management / governance model and the identified challenges previously elaborated by Slow Food Extremadura association over the last year, will be validated in a participatory manner to subsequently carry out a first concretion of initiatives, projects, actions and work teams that assume leadership, development and feasibility of its, around sustainable food and agroecology in Extremadura.
