Advice for someone working within OSCE

Hi,

I was wondering if someone might be able to give me some advice on finding jobs/companies aligned towards OSCE. I am a mechanical engineering graduate trying to start a career in developing consumer products, hopefully with an interest in sustainability and OSCE. As you may imagine I have found it hard to identify companies, let alone one’s with openings, so any advice would be very welcome.

Many thanks
Miles

Hi Miles,

Thank you for joining our community, we are happy to help. Could you tell us where are you looking for a job, which country? Not that it will be easy to find OSCE jobs, but we will try to help at best we can.

Hi Silvia,

Thanks for the reply, I only just found the notification in my junk email. I’m based in the UK so I’ve been primarily looking there but I’d be more than happy to work in other countries so long as the business works in English.

Hi Miles,

First, let me ask our friends in the UK for getting in touch with you: @tomharper @seigorobinson @TechnicalNature

Second, here are a few suggestions, not exactly OSCE, but for sure in sustainable engineering

Scotland seems to be the most dedicated to adopting CE at national level, so I would look there: https://www.zerowastescotland.org.uk/our-work/circular-economy

Another national CE hotspot is The Netherlands, English is widely used, especially in business, so that’s another option for you.

I will keep you updated when I see some specific job postings. Good luck!

Hi Miles,

Alongside Silvia’s good recommendations - I can point you to the Circular city team at Peterborough

Some strong ambition and early strategy to create a resilient local economy supported by teh framework of a circular economy.
Best,
