OSCE Days 2017 – Dubai 2.0

Achieving Dubai Plan 2021: The Place: “A Smart & Sustainable City”

Multi-stakeholder Dialogue

Dubai Plan 2021 describes the future of Dubai through holistic and complementary perspectives, starting with the people and the society who have always been, and always will be, the bedrock of the city. One of the key themes under the plan is building a “smart and sustainable city”. The theme addresses the importance of sustainability in managing against Dubai’s future growth by ensuring the availability of clean energy sources and protecting natural resources such as soil, water, and air, and promoting sustainable consumption.

The key driver to the achievement of the aims and KPIs will be collaborative efforts by various stakeholders. To understand and discuss how waste management and resource efficiency can help achieve Dubai Plan 2021, join us for this interesting multi-stakeholder dialogue. This dialogue is being held as part of the Global OSCE days (Open Source Circular Economy Days).

OSCE Days is an open, distributed and globally connected event in which experts, enthusiasts and innovators from across the globe work together to exchange ideas and solutions, prototyping systems, products and designs for an Open Source Circular Economy. In 2016, Dubai took the lead and was the only city in the region to join 70 major global cities to host this open discussion.

This year too, Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Sustainability Network) and Dulsco, a leading provider of environment solutions and human resource solutions in the UAE join hands to take the lead in bringing together different stakeholders for this important discussion. Black Forest Solutions, a German waste management thought leader will be providing guidance from a global perspective.
